If you’d like to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you will need a special domain name authorization code, which may be called by different names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, etc. All these names denote one and the same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the present domain name registrar and provides to the new one during the order process. Without an authentic code, a transfer cannot be initiated and this is one of the security mechanisms against unsolicited transfer attempts used with all generic and with most country-code extensions. For even better security, the code includes digits and/or special characters and is case-sensitive, so if you want to transfer one of your domain names, you need to provide the new registrar company with the correct code.
EPP Transfer Protection in Shared Hosting
You can get the EPP transfer code for any domain name that you’ve registered with our company with just several clicks of the mouse from the very same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to administer your shared hosting account. As soon as you visit the Registered Domains section, you will find all your domain names conveniently shown in alphabetical order. If a particular TLD extension supports transfers between registrars with an EPP transfer code, you will see an EPP button on the right side of the given domain name. If you click on that button, the code will be emailed to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain. If you wish, you can modify the contact information, including the email address, without needing to leave this Control Panel section, in case the currently entered email address is not valid any longer.
